Honu Bakery Partners with Hawaiian Airlines for an Unforgettable Pop-Up Event

At Honu Bakery, we are thrilled to announce our recent partnership with Hawaiian Airlines, Hawaii’s one and only and most beloved and proud local airlines. Hawaiian Airlines has been a staple of our islands, connecting us with the world while embodying the spirit of aloha in every flight. It’s an airline that we all hold dear, not just for its service, but for its unwavering commitment to our community.

Earlier this week, we had the incredible opportunity to showcase and sell some of our most popular products at Hawaiian Airlines' headquarters. When we were contacted by Hawaiian Airlines about a week before the event, we knew we had to bring our best. We carefully curated a selection of 13 of our most popular breads and pastries for the employees, including our signature Turtle Bread and the recent hit, Ube Cream Puff.

The excitement began as soon as we arrived at the headquarters around 8:45 AM. As we started unloading and setting up on a long 20-foot countertop, employees began to arrive, eagerly awaiting a taste of our offerings. By 9:10 AM, a line had already formed at the entrance of the cafeteria where we were stationed. In less than an hour, all 200+ items we had prepared were sold out—a testament to the warm reception from the Hawaiian Airlines team.

The experience was nothing short of amazing. Despite the early hour, the Hawaiian Airlines employees were incredibly kind and supportive, offering words of encouragement and showing genuine interest in our products. We were particularly touched to see some of our regular customers among the crowd, who graciously helped explain our offerings to colleagues who were new to Honu Bakery. A huge mahalo to them for their continued support!

This partnership with Hawaiian Airlines was not just a business opportunity, but a chance to further integrate ourselves into the community we love. As we mentioned in our last newsletter, we are committed to being more involved with local businesses, especially in these challenging economic times. We believe that by supporting each other, we can all rise together.
