A Fresh Look, Crafted the Honu Way
One of the greatest privileges of being a local bakery is freedom—the freedom to create, to evolve, and to listen closely to our customers. Unlike large global bakery chains here on Oʻahu, we’re not governed by corporate policies, factory templates, or design restrictions. That freedom has allowed Honu Bakery to continue refining who we are year after year.
Since the new management took place, one of our core goals has been simple: refresh and update our cake lineup every year so our customers always experience something new, thoughtful, and uniquely Honu.
A New Design Direction for 2026
As our decorators and management team brainstormed the design theme for the new year, one concept stood out—the crescent, one-sided design. Unlike the traditional symmetrical or factory-cut designs commonly seen at other bakeries, this off-centered crescent shape felt intentional, modern, and different.
For 2026, many of our cakes will feature this crescent-inspired design, creating a softer, more organic look that reflects the care and craftsmanship behind every cake we make.
New Sizes, By Popular Demand
We also listened closely to what our customers have been asking for. Due to many requests, we’re excited to introduce a new, more affordable size for two of our best-selling cakes: Strawberry Cream Cake and Fresh Cream Cake.
This smaller size is especially perfect for customers who prefer lighter, more approachable cakes for everyday celebrations—without sacrificing the quality and flavor you expect from Honu.

As always, every cake is made from scratch—from our chiffon cake layers to the creams inside and out. No frozen sheets. No factory shortcuts. Just real ingredients, real hands, and real care put into every order.
