Assistant Baker (South King)

Job Description

Honu Bakery is looking for a reliable, hardworking morning baker to join our team! You’ll help create the fresh breads and pastries our customers love every day—plus support with light cake decorating and finishing touches.

Schedule:

  • Morning shifts, typically 6-7 hours (5:00 AM – 11:00 AM/12:00 PM)

  • Monday to Saturday (some holidays included)

Location:

  • 1495 S King St #103, Honolulu, HI 96814

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Mixing: Scale and mix dough for our daily production.

  • Baking: Proof and bake a variety of breads and pastries, adjusting temps and times as needed.

  • Production: Shape dough, fill pastries, fry donuts, and prep for the next day.

  • Cake Decoration: Assist with simple cake decorating tasks and basic fixes for custom and pre-made cakes.

  • Cleaning: Keep your area clean and follow all health code practices.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Some kitchen experience is required

  • Baking or pastry experience is strongly preferred but not required

  • Willing to learn and work in a team setting

  • Attention to detail, especially when it comes to decorating and presentation
