Job Description

Are you passionate about food and looking to grow your skills in the kitchen? Honu Bakery is hiring apprentice bakers—no professional baking experience required! This is a great opportunity for someone young, hardworking, and eager to learn under the guidance of our experienced head bakers and cake decorators.

Location:

Kam Shopping Center, 1620 N School St #C5-B, Honolulu, HI 96817

Schedule:

Morning shifts, typically 6 hours (start time varies around 6:30–7:30 AM)


What You’ll Be Learning & Doing:

  • How to prepare dough and bake fresh breads and pastries

  • Basics of shaping and making pastries

  • Light cake/cupcake decorating and fixing presentation issues

  • Prepping ingredients for the next day’s production

  • Keeping a clean and organized workstation


What We’re Looking For:

  • No baking experience necessary, but kitchen experience is a plus

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Attention to cleanliness and food safety
